Concert on Czech composer Antonin Dvorak held in HCMC

A concert featuring classical music works by famous Czech composer Antonin Dvorak will take place at HCMC Opera House on June 19.

People’s Artist, cellist Ngo Hoang Quan and Japanese conductor of the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra Honna Tetsuji will perform in the concert together with artists of the Ho Chi Minh City Ballet Symphony Orchestra and Opera (HBSO).
Cellist Ngo Hoang Quan was born into a family of musicians. He was taught the cello by his father, the composer Hoang Duong, beginning at the age of five. After five years studying in Russia, he started to work with the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra.
Honna Tetsuji is music director and principal conductor of the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra. He has made many CD recordings with Japanese and other orchestras.
