Globaltrans Air to become 4th general aviation service provider

(VOV) - Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai has authorised the Ministry of Transport (MoT) to grant a business licence to the Globaltrans Air JSC in order to operate as a general aviation service provider.

The license is granted in accordance with the proposal from the MoT after a consensus from the Ministry of National Defence, the Ministry of Public Security, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

A representative from the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) said Globaltrans Air meets all necessary requirements to operate as a general aviation service provider.

Established in July 2014 in HCM City, with charter capital of VND 100 billion (US$4.7 million), the airline signed a contract to buy two Beach Craft King Air B200. Since then, Globaltrans has set up highly-trained aircraft operation and maintenance teams to guarantee security and safety.

Globaltrans Air has now become the fourth business to operate in the general aviation industry within Vietnam.  Others include the Vietnam Helicopter Corporation, the Vietnam Air Service Company (VASCO) and Hai Au Aviation JSC.
