Central Da Nang city has been listed on the Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO)’s survey of Investment-Related Cost Comparison in Major Cities and Regions in Asia, reported the city’s representative office in Tokyo.

Da Nang
is the third urban centre after Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City which have been listed on the comparison board comprised of 30 major Asian cities.
It has emerged as an attractive investment destination to Japanese businesses and has so far attracted US$250 million investment capital from 29 Japanese businesses, the JETRO said.

It also has a large seaport and an international airport, with cheap prices of office rent and accommodation for foreign investors.
However, the delivery cost from the city’s Tien Sa port to Japan’s Yokohama port is still high as compared to other ports in Vietnam, the JETRO added.
