More than 800 Vietnamese students studying in the Republic of Korea (RoK) gathered in Seoul on September 27 for an annual meeting held by the Vietnamese Embassy in the RoK and the Vietnamese Students Association.
The fifth get-together, the largest of its kind in the RoK, also attracted representatives from relevant Vietnamese agencies, the RoK-Vietnam Friendship Association, and the RoK’s Vietnamese studies scholars.

Addressing the function, Vietnamese Ambassador Pham Tien Van stressed the role of Vietnamese students in the process of national construction and development.

He hailed the Vietnamese students’ efforts to study well and contribute to the development of Vietnamese Students Association in the RoK.

The Association has launched social and humanitarian activities to promote the image of Vietnam’s land and people and help the Korean-Vietnamese families act as a bridge to closer friendship and mutual understanding between the two countries’ people.

More than 3,000 Vietnamese students are studying at universities and institutes in the RoK.
