A delegation of the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV) Central Committee's Commission for External Relations led by Nguyen Tien Ngoc, head of the Laos-Cambodia Department, attended the Mexico Communist Party (PCM)'s 2nd National Congress which opened in Mexico City on March 18.

In his speech, Mr Ngoc highly evaluated the importance of the Congress, which contributed to strengthening the PCM's power.

The Communist Party and people of Vietnam are glad to witness the PCM's development and contributions to the communist, leftwing and progressive movement in Mexico in particular, and in Latin America in general, Mr Ngoc said.

Earlier, the delegation attended a seminar held by the Mexican Labour Party (PT) and met with the PT's Secretary General, Alberto Anaya.

Anaya said he believes that the CPV's upcoming 10th National Congress will be successful.
