A training course on HIV/AIDS prevention for HIV/AIDS patients and their families has been held in Bac Ninh province.

The course, organised by For a Bright Future Group and sponsored by the US Agency for International Development (USAID), provided the participants with necessary knowledge of HIV/AIDS prevention measures, including safe sex, use of condoms and injection needles, and treatment of clothes and items stained by blood of HIV/AIDS patients.

Bac Ninh’s For a Bright Future Group was set up in July 2005 with only 15 members. It now has 80 members.

The group provides consultancy on HIV/AIDS for the public, gives advice on treatment to HIV carriers and guides the patients and their relatives in voluntary HIV tests. It also assists the patients to get medical treatment and have access to HIV/AIDS treatment by ARV.
