The Vietnamese Embassy and the New Zealand-Vietnam Friendship Association have organized a ceremony for the Vietnamese community in New Zealand to celebrate the traditional Lunar New Year Festival (Tet).

The ceremony was attended by New Zealand's Secretary of Defence John McKinnon, Wellington's Vice Mayor Alix Shaw and Vietnamese Ambassador Tran Hai Hau, as well as Vietnamese nationals and New Zealand friends.

A performance with piano concert and Vietnamese folksongs was also held at the ceremony.
