Malta and Vietnam can boost cooperation in sea port management, financial and tourism services, and human resource training in maritime law, diplomacy, and foreign languages, according to Angelo Farrugia, Speaker of the House of Representatives of Malta.

Farrugia made the suggestion during his recent meeting with Vietnamese Ambassador to Italy and Malta Cao Chinh Thien in the Maltese capital of Valetta.

The legislator highlighted the good relationship between Vietnam and Malta over the past 40 years, and stressed that the House of Representatives of Malta pays special attention to the relations with Vietnam ’s National Assembly, especially after Maltese parliamentarians participated in the 132 nd Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Assembly held in Vietnam last year.
