A 71-year old American overseas Vietnamese woman Vo Thi Bon has donated VND829 million to help build houses and roads in Giong Tom district, Ben Tre province.

President of Ben Tre’s Association for Science and Technology of Bridges and Roads, Trinh Van Y said that the Ms Bon’s aids was used to build 30 bridges and six roads with a length of 2.5 km, build seven compassionate houses and provide rice to poor households in communes in Chau Binh, Chau Hoa, and Luong Quoi.

Previously, another American overseas Vietnamese Tran Thi An Nhien granted VND1.2 billion to build bridges and houses in Giong Trom district.
