Two-time World Cup winners Argentina drew 0-0 with Holland on June 21 to finish top of Group C and line up a last of 16 clash with Mexico on June 24.

The Dutch team, who like the Argentines posted two victories over group rivals Serbia and Montenegro and Ivory Coast, finished in second place on goal difference and will play Group D winners Portugal on June 25.

In another Group C match, Ivory Coast beat 10-man Serbia & Montenegro 3-2. The win was Ivory Coast's first in the World Cup finals.

Earlier, Portugal went through to the second round as Group D winners after a 2-1 narrow win over 10-men Mexico, and will meet Holland on June 25.

In another Group D match, Angola bow out of their first World Cup finals after being held to a 1-1 draw by Iran in Leipzig.
