The Ho Chi Minh City Television Cup national cycling tournament, the largest of its kind in Vietnam, winded up in Ho Chi Minh City on April 30. Le Nguyen Thanh Nhan from An Giang province's Plant Protection Company sealed the final Yellow Jersey, while The Sai Gon-Dofilm team took the cup in team category.

Nhan successfully defended his leading records in previous sections to win the Yellow Jersey with a total time of 57 hours, 55 minutes and 35 seconds.

The 2,200 km race, with its track extended to Laos for the first time, started in Hanoi, via Vientiane, and finished in Ho Chi Minh City. Eleven local teams have been competing for prizes totaled at VND500 million.

The organisers plan to extend the race track to Cambodia in 2007.
