The Vietstar Lemma Eco Centre, the largest and most modern solid waste treatment facility in Southeast Asia, will be put into operation in Ho Chi Minh City on Dec. 18.
According to Vietstar Joint Stock Company’s announcement on Dec. 8, the US$53-million plant will handle 1,200 tonnes of solid waste per day.

Located in Cu Chi district, the plant will provide 600 jobs for local residents and improve the working environment in the city.

Vietstar is an affiliate of the US Lemma International company, which invested US$10 million in the plant.
