Former Hungarian ambassador to Vietnam Szasz Denes has been conferred the Friendship Order in recognition of his contributions to the country during his working term from 2003-2006. 

On behalf of the Party, State and Government, Deputy Foreign Minister Le Cong Phung presented the order to the Hungarian diplomat at a ceremony in Hanoi on March 29.

The diplomat thanked the Vietnamese State and people for the award and pledged to further promote co-operation between the two countries in the future.
