A groundbreaking ceremony for the Central Highland Hospital took place in Buon Ma Thuot city on July 19 in presence of State Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan.

On a site of 12 hectares, the hospital will have 800 beds, built with a total investment of nearly VND1,100 billion from Government bonds.

Once completed in 2013, the hospital will provide health services for people in the Central Highlands region, as well as those living in neighbouring provinces in Laos and Cambodia.

Currently, most patients with serious diseases are sent to hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City for treatment.
