Vietnamese athlete Nguyen Duy Bang won a silver medal after clearing 2.18m in the men’s high jump event at the first round of the Asian Grand Prix tournament, which concluded in Thailand on May 19.
The tournament drew the most outstanding athletes from Asian countries, who competed in three rounds scheduled to take place in Thailand and India.
Vietnam sent seven athletes to the event at the invitation of the Asian Athletics Federation.
