GM Vietnam offers 50 scholarships to disadvantaged students

VOV.VN - General Motors Vietnam (GM Vietnam) has presented Chevrolet scholarships to 50 students living in poverty with excellent academic records from 14 schools in Thanh Tri district, Hanoi.

The Chevrolet scholarship program has been held annually with the aim of promoting the learning spirit. It is also part of key activities of GM Vietnam for the community on the threshold of the traditional Lunar New Year (Tet).

Le Thanh Hai, Sales and Marketing Director at GM Vietnam, says in addition to supplying high quality products and services, Chevrolet pledges to support the development of the young generation and the community as well.

Earlier in December 2017, GM Vietnam coordinated with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Tri district on raising funds to build five houses for unprivileged families, bringing the total number of charity houses in the district to more than 50.

Last year, GM Vietnam implemented a series of social and charitable activities in welfare, health care, education and environment protection, drawing active involvement of the company’s staff.
