In his opening speech, Deputy Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son said Vietnam is moving towards its finalization of negotiations for the signing of new generation free trade agreements (FTAs) as well as other trade deals, thus giving it a good opportunity to boost integration into the world economy.
On show are 300 photos featuring the tremendous economic achievements the country recorded during the past three decades of pursing the Doi Moi (Renewal) process, investment environment, science and technology and opportunities and challenges for Vietnam in the international integration process.
Mr Son also described the exhibition as a pragmatic activity aimed at promoting the image of Vietnam and showing its resolve to go ahead with comprehensive drastic reform in the time to come.
