Deputy Defence Minister welcomes French ambassador
(VOV) - Deputy Defence Minister and Navy Commander Nguyen Van Hien on December 12 received French ambassador to Vietnam Jean-Noel Poirier who has just assumed office in Vietnam.
At the reception, Hien briefed the French diplomat on Vietnam-France bilateral defence cooperation over the years and expressed hope that the ambassador will actively contribute to strengthening the ties of friendship and cooperation between the two nations for the sake of peace, stability, and development in the region and the world.
For his part, Poirier spoke highly of the results of defence cooperation between the countries and wished that Vietnam-France defence ties would grow and flourish in the near future.
