State President Nguyen Minh Triet and Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung on August 2 cabled condolences to Philippine President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo over the death of the country’s former President, Corazon Aquino.
Their condolences were also sent to the family of the deceased, Aquino, who died on August 1 after a long period of illness.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Gia Khiem also sent condolences to the Philippines’s Foreign Minister Alberto Romulo over Aquino’s death.
