A special programme “Victory Song” will be launched in Hanoi and Moscow and broadcast live at 8pm on October 31 on VTV3 and VTV4 to mark the 70th anniversary of the historic parade on Red Square.
Lai Van Sam, head of the Sports, Entertainment and Economic Information Department and general director of the prorgamme said it is not a political commentary nor a flashback of history. The three-hour programme will cover important milestones from 1941 to the victory day on May 9, 1945. It will also provide data relating to the war, the country, cities, events and people through Russian songs and dances.
The programme will start at the same time both at the Hanoi Friendship Palace and the Art Performance Centre of Kosmos Hotel in Moscow.
A VTV delegation led by journalist Lai Van Sam arrived in Russia in August to prepare for the programme.
