Since early June, the prices of local tours have increased by 10-20 percent, even by 50-60 percent for sea-bound tourists, according to some travel agencies.
The price hike is attributed to the increasing demands for local tours from June to early September and a surge in oil and service prices, and transportation costs.
At present, the Hanoi-Ha Long Bay tour costs VND350,000 per person per day, VND50,000 more than last month. The Hanoi-Nha Trang tour (four days, three nights) is VND1.5 million per person, up VND200,000 compared to last month.
