“Lotus”, a cultural art performance of Vietnam, was held in Paris’ District 10, France, drawing crowds of Vietnamese residents and French people.

Among those attending the event were Vietnamese ambassador to France, Le Kinh Tai, ambassador and head of the Vietnamese delegation to UNESCO, Van Nghia Dung, and representatives of France’s Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, Ministry of Culture and Communication.

The art performance, part of preparations to celebrate Vietnam’s big holidays in 2010 and the 1,000th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi, gave a special salute to French Prime Minister Francois Fillon’s upcoming visit to Vietnam in November.

The event was performed by artists of the Vietnam Central Light Music Theatre under the direction of people’s artist Tran Binh.

The “Lotus” art performance was organised by the Vietnamese Cultural Centre in coordination with the national flag carrier, Vietnam Airlines, in France.
