The event represents the first large-scale international aviation technology equipment expo that has been held in Vietnam.

The three-day function is set to see a range of domestic and international aviation enterprises introduce cutting edge technologies and equipment in the field of aviation across over 100 stalls.

The expo offers the opportunity for both domestic and international airlines, in addition to manufacturers of aviation equipment, to discuss the current trends emerging in product technology, whilst simultaneously attempting to boost trade promotion which has significantly contributed to the sustainable development of the nation’s aviation industry.

Alongside the event, a number of seminars are also poised to take place, with a specific focus on investment in the construction of airports for the 2020 to 2030 period. In addition, issues relating to civil flight management and solutions for personnel within the aviation sector in the context of Industry 4.0 are also to be discussed during seminars.

Tran Quang Chau, Chairman of the Vietnam Aviation Science and Technology Association, said the VIAE 2019 will offer the country’s aviation industry the chance to introduce new technological achievements to the world.

At present, the Asia - Pacific region is rated by the World Air Transport Association as the world’s most dynamic region with growth between 6 per cent to 7 per cent annually.

Most notably, the country’s aviation market has experienced robust growth over the past decade, with an average growth of over 16 per cent each year. It is therefore hoped that exhibitions and related events such as the VIAE 2019 will help to promote the nation’s aviation industry.

During the VIAE 2019, a number of Vietnamese and international businesses are poised to sign co-operation agreements relating to training human resources in the aviation sector.
