This year the event is being held in Las Vegas, USA, and has attracted 89 contestants from all over the world.
The jury will use the semi-finals to select the 16 best contestants who will enter the final round when it begins on December 19.
Although she performed last, Diem Huong showed no signs of nerves.She distinguished herself with a yellow gown during the evening gown segment of the contest.
The MC introduced Huong as a person who loves to read and participate in social welfare activities, especially those relating to assisting poor children.
Despite spraining her foot through over-exercise, Huong completed her performance successfully.
