Vietnam is ready to promote agricultural co-operation with Cambodia, Prime Minister Phan Van Khai told visiting Cambodian Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Chan Sarun in Hanoi on April 4.

PM Khai welcomed the delegation's visit to Vietnam, highlighting the traditional friendship and co-operation between the two countries.

To develop agricultural production and reduce poverty, the two countries must strengthen cooperation in bio-technology and farm produce processing, he said. The Vietnamese government is encouraging localities to boost co-operation with Cambodia's border provinces for socio-economic development.
