A contract, part of a project to increase safety on the North-South railway, was signed between the Vietnam Railway Corporation and a group of contractors in Hanoi on February 9.

Under the contract, Tekken, Yokogawa, Thang Long and Marubeni will undertake the building of 10 bridges on the railway linking the capital city of Hanoi with Ho Chi Minh City, and other supporting infrastructure projects.

It is expected that the contract will be carried out on April 1 and finished after 30 months.

Funding is sourced from the Japanese Government’s Official Development Assistance and Vietnam’s state budget to cover the construction of 44 bridges, a railway station and other relevant projects.
