The US International Assistance and Adoption Project (IAAP) has granted more than US$38,000 to help the central city of Da Nang implement a project on improving the care of disadvantaged children.

The money will be used to equip care centres for disadvantaged children and orphans and assist families facing difficulties in raising their offspring and improving their living conditions.
The project will be carried out through October 2008.

Apart from providing the above-mentioned sum, IAAP has also donated nearly US$12,500 to the Da Nang Social Welfare Centre, which provides care for orphaned and displaced children, the disabled, and old, lonely people.
