Finnish poster art exhibition opens in Hue
(VOV) - A display of 100 Finnish posters produced since the beginning of the 20thcentury opened in Hue city on April 29 to mark the 40th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Finland and Vietnam.
The work in the “100 Years-100 Posters” exhibition, which was co-organised by the Finnish Embassy in Hanoi and ThuaThien-Hue provincial People’s Committee, is on loan from the Lahti Poster Museum in Finland.
The art of Finnish posters developed following common trends in Europe and has been influenced by the evolution of graphic design as well as the country’s socio-economic development.
The posters on display depict the history of sports, tourism, advertising and education in Finland over the past century.
The exhibition, which will run through May 3, has been very popular with local people and tourists alike.
