The central coastal province of Khanh Hoa welcomed more than 85,000 visitors, including 18,000 foreigners during the traditional New Year Tet Festival, which began on February 7, according to the provincial Tourism and Trade Department.

The number of tourists was the largest so far, bringing in a revenue of nearly VND120 billion (US$7.5 million) to the province.

Between February 8 and12, Nha Trang city received between 15,000-20,000 visitors each day.

During those days, hotels in the province were almost occupied with the occupancy rate of about 90 percent. Vinpearl hotel had the largest number of guests (6,000) with half of them being foreigners.
