Vietnam’s cement sector plans to produce 32.5 million tonnes of cement in 2006, a year-on-year increase of 13.1 percent, including 13.1 million tonnes from the Vietnam National Cement Corporation (VNCC).
The Ministry of Construction, in co-ordination with the Vietnam Cement Association and VNCC has devised plans to stablise the supply-demand balance of cement in the local market. Recently, the increasing price of goods and services has caused a significant impact on production activities in factories, said VNCC.
