President brevets 35 diplomats to ambassadorial levels
(VOV) - State President Truong Tan Sang has issued a decision brevetting 35 diplomats to ambassadorial levels in recognition of their contributions to the diplomatic sector and national development.
Addressing the April 2 ceremony, President Sang asked the diplomatic sector to redouble its efforts at consolidating peace, safeguarding sovereignty, and protecting territorial integrity.

Sang noted the diplomatic sector needs to honour its responsibility as a leader in promoting comprehensive international integration, raising Vietnam’s international profile, and using external resources to serve national economic restructuring, industrialization, and modernization.
He hopes the ambassadors will continue to successfully implement the Party’s foreign policy and build upon their contributions to the country’s development.
Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh and Government Office Director Dao Viet Trung also used the occasion to sign a coordination regulation in a bid to enhance the focus of external activities.
