The 7th launch of Vietnam-Japan cultural exchange days will take place in Hoi An ancient city and Cu Lao Cham area from August 14-16.

As a national festival, this year’s event marks the 10th anniversary of Hoi An being recognised as a world culture heritage site.

A series of activities will be held, such as a photo exhibition, a seminar on the environment, a festival on Japanese food and the planting of cherry blossoms.

The event will feature professional performers, including the Gypsy Queen band, pianist Higuchi Ayuko from Japan and singer My Linh from Vietnam.

Also on the occasion, Hoi An will organize a ceremony to receive a certificate from UNESCO recognising Cu Lao Cham as a World Biosphere Reserve.
