Four kindergartens built with financial assistant from a US organisation have been inaugurated in southern Tien Giang province.

The Room to Read, an American non-profit charitable organisation, provided VND1.12 billion for the four localities in the Mekong Delta region province, namely Long Binh Dien and My Tinh An communes of Cho Gao district, Go Cong Tay and Go Cong Dong districts, to build the facilities.

With 30 classrooms each, the kindergartens have large yards and are well equipped to support education activities.

In addition, the US organisation provided financial assistance to build classrooms for foreign language and computer learning and presented foreign language study books to other localities in Tien Giang.

The Room to Read organisation was founded by former Microsoft employee John Wood and dedicated to building education infrastructure in developing countries to end the cycle of poverty.
