National conference highlights Party building and rectification
A three-day national conference opened in Hanoi on February 27 to discuss the implementation of the resolution on Party building and rectification adopted at the fourth Plenum of the 11th Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee.
After the 11th National Party Congress, this is the biggest-ever conference gathering all members of the 11th CPV Central Committee and leaders from central agencies to discuss urgent issues related to Party building and rectification in the current period.
Party building and rectification is a decisive factor in the success of the Doi Moi (Renewal) process and the existence of the Party.
The opening and closing speeches delivered by Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong at the fourth Plenum of the CPV Central Committee have created a positive political climate in the whole Party and society.
The clear message shows the strong determination of the Party Central Committee to rectify mistakes and struggle against all negative implications of bureaucracy, corruption, wastefulness as well as violations of democracy among Party cadres and members, including those holding senior positions in the Party and State apparatus.
The resolution on Party building and rectification has received a positive response from not only Party organizations but also different sections of society which have great concerns but high hopes.
At its fourth Plenum, the Party Central Committee looked straight at the truth to diagnose the “disease” of Party members and worked out solutions for them to combat it.
A majority of people believe that with a firm political stance and time-honoured leadership capacity, the Party will match up to their expectations by bringing its resolution to life.
The current conference is an important event aimed at addressing all urgent issues mentioned in the resolution with a high sense of responsibility.
Since its fourth Plenum, the Party Central Committee has received constructive feedback from the public on Party building and rectification.
The immediate task of Party and State leaders is to take strong action in line with the content and spirit of the resolution to restore public confidence in the bright future development of the country under the leadership of the Party.
