DPRK prosecutors visit Ho Chi Minh City

Jang Byong Gyu, head of the Supreme Public Prosecutors’ Office of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), visited Ho Chi Minh City as part of his working visit to Vietnam.

The DPRK prosecutor was received on December 3 by Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh People’s Committee Hua Ngoc Thuan who said Vietnam and the DPRK have enjoyed the growing ties since their diplomatic ties establishment.

Thuan expressed his hope that the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Supreme People’s Procuracy of Vietnam and the DPRK Supreme Public Prosecutors’ Office will help propel bilateral collaboration between the two agencies and contribute to promoting relations between the two nations.

Echoing Thuan’s views, Jang Byong Gyu said cooperation between the two agencies is bound to advance further following the signing of the agreement.

He highlighted the traditional friendship between Vietnam and the DPRK which was founded by late Presidents Ho Chi Minh and Kim Il Sung.

The DPRK will exert all-out efforts to beef up the relationship, he promised.

Earlier, in Hanoi, Jang Byong Gyu was welcomed by President Truong Tan Sang, who wished that the Supreme People’s Procuracy of Vietnam and the DPRK Supreme Public Prosecutors’ Office would work harder to actualise their commitments and agreements to bring the relations between the two sectors and countries to the next level.
