The donation is being made through a charity programme jointly administered by Liberated Saigon daily and Trust Bank which aims to donate 3,000 wheelchairs and two million notebooks to disadvantaged children. 

Speaking at the event, chairman of Trust Bank Hoang Van Toan described the activity as a contribution to fostering the special friendship between the two countries. 

Dinoral Hernandez Sanchez, Cuban Deputy Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City said that these gifts contribute to increasing the mutual understanding and traditional friendship between the two nations.
