The Vietnam Fashion Festival (VFF) opened at the International Exhibition and Trade Fair Centre in Ho Chi Minh City, drawing participants from nearly 100 local and foreign businesses which showcase various types of garment, textile and footwear products in 250 booths.

Vu Duc Giang, General Director of the Vietnam Textile and Garment Group, said with the aim of boosting trade promotion and earning an export turnover of US$9.5 billion from garment and textile products in 2008, the group plans to organise a similar festival in Hanoi in November, and then in central and south-western regions.
