The third Vietnamese Student Sports Festival in the Republic of Korea (RoK) came to an end on August 22.

The event was organised by the Vietnamese Students’ Association in the Republic of Korea (VSAK) to celebrate the 65th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day, the 1,000th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi and to promote solidarity and mutual understanding between Vietnamese students in universities and research institutes across the RoK.

The annual festival attracted 60 delegations of Vietnamese students from different parts of the RoK to compete in football, badminton, table-tennis and athletics.

The final round of competition was held at Ulsan University on August 22, along with a cultural exchange featuring the youth’s vitality and spirit of patriotism.

At the closing ceremony, on behalf of the Vietnamese Students’ Association, Tran Hai Linh awarded certificates of merit to outstanding individuals and collectives in youth movements during the 2009-2010 period.
