Priscilla Perales, 24 years old and 1.74 metre tall, attended Miss Universe 2006 and won Miss Cyber Press. She was considered one of promising candidates for the crown of this 47^th beauty pageant.

The first runner-up title went to Despina Vlepaki from Greece (22 years old and 1.8 metre tall) and the second runner-up title to Yuliya Sindzeyeva from Belarus (20 years old and 1.83 metre tall).

Vietnamese beauty Pham Thi Thuy Duong won Miss International Image after receiving 7,024 votes from Internet readers. Miss Photo was awarded to Hisako Shirata from host Japan.

Worthy of note during the event is the participation of deaf and dumb beauties Vanessa Perrett from Venezuela and Sophie Vouzelaud from France. Although they did not get any prizes, they won great admiration from spectators and were listed among top 15 beauties on the Geocities and Global Beauty websites.
