PM calls for Vietnam-Cuba efficient cooperative mechanisms

VOV.VN - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has called on Vietnam and Cuba to continue the exchange of delegations at all levels and improve the efficiency of cooperative mechanisms. 

At a reception in Hanoi on September 8 for Cuban Ambassador Hermenio Lopez Diaz, who came to bid farewell at the end of his tenure in Vietnam, The Vietnamese government leader suggested that both sides should augment economic, trade, and investment cooperation to the same level of their political ties. 

He expressed hope that Cuba creates favorable conditions for Vietnamese businesses and the ambassador  in any position, would continue his contributions to reinforcing the friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

The Cuban ambassador pledged to continue reinforcing friendship and solidarity between two countries and suggested the Vietnamese PM and Government encourage more businesses to invest in Cuba.

He stated that his nation is pushing medical cooperation with Vietnam, including sending Cuban doctors to work in Vietnam and supplying pharmaceutical products for the Vietnamese market. 

According to the ambassador, both nations also boast huge potential for stronger cooperation in tourism.

The diplomat used this occasion to thank the Vietnamese government, ministries, agencies and localities for supporting him during his tenure in the country and pledged to act as a bridge for enhancing the solidarity and traditional friendship between the two countries in the coming time.
