The German government has pledged to provide Vietnam with €300 million to support the country's development over the next two years.

The German Embassy in Hanoi said this is the result negotiations on development cooperation between the two countries’ governments that concluded in Germany on October 26.

Of the total, €15 million EUR funded by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment will be allocated to environmental protection programmes.

According to Gudrun Kopp, Parliamentary State Secretary at the Germany ’s Federal Ministry of Economic Development and Cooperation, the German government will continue to assist Vietnam in vocational training, law enforcement, administrative reform, anti-corruption activities and environmental protection.
