Ho Chi Minh City Baseball Federation was established on July 9, the first of its kind in Vietnam.
The federation, led by Le Manh Dung and deputies Nguyen Tuan Khiem and Cao Chi Dung, plans to spearhead the country's representation at the Southeast Asian Games in Indonesia on November 26.
Baseball was first formally played in HCM City in 1996.
The HCM City team trains at Phu Tho Stadium and has a coach from the Republic of Korea.
