The event focuses on five major themes: Vietnam’s sovereignty over islands; national border security; sovereignty defence measures based in Thua Thien-Hue; soldiers stationed on islands and along borders; and the Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelagos.
The exhibition aims to showcase images and documents contributing to the legal case for Vietnam’s sovereignty over the Hoang Sa (Paracel) archipelago.
Phan Tien Dung, Director of the Thua Thien-Hue provincial department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said the exhibition raise public awareness of the need to protect Vietnam’s sovereignty over its sea and islands.
