More than 120 businesses from 22 countries and territories have so far registered to display their products at an international exhibition on telecommunications, electronics and information technology scheduled for September 13-16 in Ho Chi Minh City.

Entitled Vietnam Telecomp 2006, the exhibition will be held by the Vietnam Post and Telecommunication Group (VNPT) and the Adsale Company from Hong Kong and will be the biggest event of its kind in Vietnam.

At a press briefing held in Hanoi on May 30, the organisers said large international groups such as Alcatel, Ericsson, France Telecom, Motorola, Nokia, NTT, and Samsung will introduce products and technologies used for new-generation telecom networks worldwide.

About 40 businesses from China, the Republic of Korea and Singapore are expected to offer more cooperation opportunities to Vietnamese partners.

The exhibition will also include forums and seminars on Vietnam's telecom and IT industry.
