**The Phu Yen provincial Liaison Committee of former Truong Son soldiers hold a meeting on December 19 to celebrate the People’s Army Day.

At the meeting, 55 former Truong Son soldiers were moved to tears when they remembered the day their comrades fell for their country and they promised to uphold the tradition of Truong Son soldiers.

The National Liaison Committee of former Truong Son soldiers also granted the “Truong Son-Ho Chi Minh soldiers” insignia to 22 soldiers of the Phu Yen provincial committee.

**On the same day, a celebration was held in the central province of Nghe An to mark the anniversary.

The Nghe An Provincial Military Command promoted the campaign to follow Ho Chi Minh’s moral example, maintain the political stability, and contribute to the country’s industrialisation and modernisation.

** In a similar celebration on December 18, the province of Hai Duong reviewed the glorious tradition of the nation and the People’s Army over the past 65 years, to which Hai Duong had contributed greatly, especially in the nation’s two struggles for independence.

In recognition of their contribution, the Communist Party and State granted Armed Forces Hero titles to 100 agencies and individuals and  the Vietnamese Heroic Mother award to 2,000 mothers in the province.
