Experts said that chess master Nguyen Thi Ho Anh from Kien Giang is likely to win the women’s championship title, while players from HCM City and Ben Tre may face fierce competition for silver and bronze medals.

Truong Duc Chien, head of the chess section under the HCM City Department for Culture, Sports and Tourism, says host HCM City hopes to clinch two gold medals at the championships.
