Vietnam’s Party, State and Government leaders on December 31 sent congratulatory messages to the Cuban leaders on the 49^th anniversary of Cuba’s National Day.

Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh, State President Nguyen Minh Triet and Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung extended their congratulations to Fidel Castro Ruz, First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba (CPC) Central Committee and President of the State Council and the Council of Ministers of Cuba.

Raul Castro Ruz, Second Secretary of the CPC and First Vice President of the State Council and the Council of Ministers of Cuba also received congratulations from the Vietnamese leaders.

On this occasion, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Phu Trong cabled a message of greetings to his Cuban counterpart, Ricardo Alarcon de Quesada.

Deputy Prime Minister-cum-Foreign Minister Pham Gia Khiem extended congratulations to Cuban Foreign Minister Felipe Perez Roque.
