HCMC’s CPI up 0.17% in November

The consumer price index (CPI) of Ho Chi Minh City in November increased by 0.17% from the previous month and 4.97% year-on-year. 

Data from the municipal Statistics Department shows that the highest price increase was recorded in the groups of housing-power-water-fuel and construction materials at 0.58%. 

Meanwhile, the group of apparel-headwear-footwear saw the lowest rise of 0.02%. 

The prices of transportation, medicine and healthcare services, and goods and other services dropped by 0.38%, 0.04% and 0.11%, respectively. 

In the month, the price of gold declined 1.41% over October and 20.67% from one year ago while the US dollar price fell by 0.07% against the previous month but up 1.30% year-on-year.
