The luxurious SuperStar Gemini cruise ship has docked at Saigon port in Ho Chi Minh City, bringing ashore 1,100 tourists.

Saigontourist Company will arrange for the foreign tourists to visit the southern economic hub, the legendary tunnels of Cu Chi and the Mekong Delta province of My Tho.

Tourists keen on Vietnamese cuisine will have a chance to participate in a cookery course, in which they will select fresh food from Ben Thanh market and practise cooking some Vietnamese dishes at a cookery centre.

HCM City received more than 28,000 sea travellers in the first half of 2007, an increase of 300 percent over the same period last year.
