Football teams announce official sponsor
(VOV) -Honda Vietnam has become an official sponsor of the Vietnamese national football squad, the U23 team, and the women’s team.
This was announced at the group’s signing ceremony with the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) in Hanoi on February 4.
The sponsorship is bound to encourage the team under head coach Hoang Van Phuc before facing the UAE at the 2015 Asian Cup qualifying round in two days’ time.
Honda Vietnam General Director Masayuki Igarashi said since first entering the country in 1996, the group has always strived to provide customers with perfect products, outstanding services, and valuable contributions to the local community.
He hopes the sponsorship will help Vietnamese football maintain its leading position in Southeast Asia and improve its standing Asia-wide.
VFF Chairman Nguyen Trong Hy hailed Honda Vietnam’s contribution, saying that part of the sponsorship will be used to reward the men’s football team in its coming matches.
